  • Vanities & fixtures

What's involved

What a bathroom remodel can include

A bathroom comes together from a few core pieces. Here is what each one covers.

01 · Bathroom Remodeling

Full & partial remodels

A focused refresh or a full renovation down to the studs. A refresh might be a vanity, a floor, new fixtures, and paint. A full remodel opens the walls, which is where layout changes, relocated plumbing, and any hidden damage get dealt with properly. Both start with a real written price.

  • A focused refresh or a full gut renovation
  • Layout changes and fixture relocation
  • Plumbing and electrical updates
  • Finished start to finish by one crew

A refresh and a gut job are two different projects with two different numbers. We price both honestly so you can pick the one you actually want.

02 · Bathroom Remodeling

Walk-in showers & tile

Tiled walk-in showers, shower pans, and tub-to-shower conversions with the waterproofing done right. The membrane and substrate behind the tile are what keep water out of the framing, and they are the one thing nobody can inspect once the tile is on. Niches, benches, and glass to finish it out.

  • Tiled walk-in showers and shower pans
  • Tub-to-shower conversions
  • Waterproofing behind every tile
  • Niches, benches, and glass doors

Waterproofing is the part nobody sees and the part that fails when it gets skipped. Nobody wants to open up a finished shower a year later, so we do it right the first time.

Vanities & fixtures

Vanities, sinks, countertops, toilets, faucets, mirrors, and lighting. Fixtures are where a bathroom either feels finished or feels close enough, so heights, spacing, and where the light actually falls get planned rather than improvised. Comfort-height and accessible options wherever they make sense.

  • Vanities, sinks, and countertops
  • Toilets, faucets, and hardware
  • Mirrors, lighting, and exhaust fans
  • Accessible and comfort-height options

Fixtures are where a bathroom either feels finished or feels close enough. We sweat the heights, the spacing, and the lighting.

What it costs

What shapes the cost and timeline

Bathrooms are small rooms with a lot packed in. These factors drive the price.

  • The size of the room
  • A tiled shower versus a prefab insert
  • Whether fixtures move from where they are now
  • Tile selection and how much wall gets covered
  • Ventilation, waterproofing, and any hidden damage
A bathroom remodel almost always pulls in plumbing, electrical, and repairs to whatever the old one let get wet. We handle that too, so it stays one crew and one estimate.

Bathroom Remodeling questions

Questions about bathroom remodeling

Straight answers to what homeowners actually ask us. If yours is not here, call and ask.

It is our only bathroom. How long is it out of service?

That is the first thing we plan around. We stage the demo, rough-in, tile, and set so the room is down for the shortest stretch possible, and you know those dates before we start.

Tiled shower or a prefab insert?

A prefab unit goes in faster and costs less, and there is nothing wrong with one. A tiled shower gives you any size, any layout, and a much better look, but it needs proper waterproofing behind it. We will price both so you can decide.

Can you convert the tub to a walk-in shower?

Yes, and it is one of the most common things we get asked. The drain usually has to move and the floor gets reframed around it, so it is real work, not a swap. Worth thinking about whether you want to keep one tub in the house for resale.

What happens if you find water damage behind the wall?

In an older bathroom it is common. We stop, show you the actual condition of the framing and subfloor, and price the repair before going further. Nothing gets covered back up and billed to you later.

Can a small bathroom feel bigger without moving walls?

Often, yes. A curbless or glass-front shower instead of a tub, a floating vanity, larger tile with fewer grout lines, and better lighting change how a small room reads without any structural work.

Are heated floors worth it?

In a bathroom, most people who put them in are glad they did. The mat goes down under tile during the same install, so the cost is mostly material. Retrofitting later means pulling the floor up again, so if you want them, now is when it is cheap.

What about the fan and moisture?

A bathroom with no real ventilation ruins paint, grout, and eventually drywall. We size the fan to the room and vent it outside, not into the attic. It is a small line item that protects everything else in the room.

Can you make a bathroom easier to get around in?

Yes. Curbless showers, comfort-height toilets, blocking in the walls for grab bars, wider door openings, and a bench in the shower. Worth doing during a remodel whether you need it now or are thinking ahead.
